Troodos Tourism Board in cooperation with Cyprus Tourism Organizations and BikinCyprus Events Management organize for the sixth consecutive year the “Troodos Sports & Fun Festival”, which will be held from the 7th to 15th June, 2014.The festival, which every year is enriched with more activities, is OPEN to all, young and older people who love adventure and outdoor activities and who want to escape from everyday’s routine.The program for 2014’s festival includes Sports competitions and many more side activities and events. Amongst other, there will be a Cross Country Run Event, Road Cycling and Mountain Bike activities and competitions, Exhibitions of Traditional and Sport products, Workshops on Running and Mountainbike, Games for children and other activities for the whole family.
Road Cycling event “0-2000”
After two successful events, your favourite and challenging road event “0-2000” is back for one more fascinating race on Saturday 7th June!
Starting from 0 meters Above Sea Level (ASL) to almost 2000 meters, to the highest peak of Cyprus,
Olympus at 1952 meters (ASL)
This is the race that time its not the target, the top is! its what we say, “Sky is the limit”
After 74km of uphill riding you will conquer the top of the highest mountain in Cyprus.
Race will start in Limassol in Potamos tis Germasogias , head towards Ypsonas, Kouris Dam pass through scenic rural roads from Lofou, Pera Pedi and Platres to finish in the Olympus peak Troodos.
After the finish the participants will have the time to relax in Troodos Square and then head back to the starting point by bus!

“Weekend 1”
Sunday 8th June is dedicated to the Mountainbike Enduro. Four different MTB routes (Mainly descents) for the Enduro Mountainbike competition will offer much fun and action to participants and spectators.
“Weekend 2”
The weekend of the 14th and 15th June is for those who want to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Running and MTB routes, as well to test their endurance. The Running and MTB Marathon Competitions will take place on Sunday 15th June. Participation is OPEN to everyone who likes adventure in Troodos Mountains. Details for both these events you can find in the dedicated sections of this website.
For those who are just getting into running or MTB but would like to be part of this Troodos Sports & Fun Festival, there will be organized 2 specially designed events! One is the Adventure Run race of 3,5km and the Mountainbike short course race!
Childrens races: There will be also a Running and a MTB race for children up to 12 years old.
“Troodos Special Diathlon” – Sunday 15th June 2014
This year, the organizers will introduce the “Troodos Special Diathlon”. What you have to do is simply register for the two events held on Sunday 15th June, the Running and Mountainbike races. In this way, both race times will be combined in the ‘Troodos Special Diathlon” category and give you the chance to find yourselves on the podium.
“Side events”
On Saturday afternoon 14th June, the Running and Mountainbike Workshops will take place, while on Sunday, June 15th several sport events will be on.
During the day more you join other activities such as introduction to Mountainbike for beginners and much more!
The festival is organized by Troodos Tourism Board in cooperation with Cyprus Tourism Organization.
