Την είσοδο της στην ραγδαία αναπτυσσόμενη αγορά του car sharing, με την υπηρεσία WeShare, εγκαινιάζει στο Βερολίνο αυτή την περίοδο η VW. Μάλιστα, η γερμανική εταιρεία αποφάσισε πως στην υπηρεσία αυτή θα παρέχει μόνο ηλεκτρικά αυτοκίνητα. Συγκεκριμένα, ο στόλος της εταιρείας αποτελείται σήμερα από 1.500 e-Golf ενώ στις αρχές του 2020 θα προστεθούν ακόμα 500 e-up!. Ταυτόχρονα, θα προστεθούν σε αυτά και τα καινούργια, πλήρως ηλεκτρικά, Volkswagen ID.3 όταν εμφανιστούν στα μέσα του 2020.
Το WeShare θα αποτελεί ένα σύστημα χωρίς πρατήρια, το οποίο θα λειτουργεί ο οποιοσδήποτε μέσω ενός app. Μια επέκταση του WeShare, είναι ήδη προγραμματισμένη για την Πράγα μαζί με την ŠKODA, και ακόμη μια επέκταση στο Αμβούργο για το 2020. «Με το WeShare, έχουμε φτιάξει το σύστημα ‘διαμοιρασμού αυτοκινήτων’ που καλύπτει τις ανάγκες όλων με 100% ηλεκτρικά αυτοκίνητα» δήλωσε ο Christian Senger, Μέλος Συμβουλίου της VW και Υπεύθυνος για Ψηφιακά Αυτοκίνητα και Υπηρεσίες στο Βερολίνο, και συνέχισε «Η γκάμα που θα παρέχουμε στο WeShare ξεχωρίζει από τον ανταγωνισμό, και είμαστε έτοιμοι για να επεκταθούμε ακόμη περισσότερο σε αυτό τον τομέα».
Αρχικά, η υπηρεσία WeShare θα καλύπτει συνολικά 150 km2 – στο κέντρο της πόλης. Στην συνέχεια θα επεκταθεί η περιοχή κάλυψης μαζί με την επέκταση και του στόλου. Όταν ξεκινήσει η υπηρεσία, οι πελάτες θα επωφεληθούν την πολύ ελκυστική ταρίφα των 19 σεντς το λεπτό, χωρίς οποιαδήποτε εγγραφή και άλλα τέλη. Από τον Σεπτέμβριο και έπειτα, η ταρίφα θα είναι κατά μέσο όρο, 29 σεντς το λεπτό, για τις τρεις κατηγορίες αυτοκινήτων που θα παρέχονται. Οι χρήστες της υπηρεσίας θα χρειάζεται να έχουν smart phone, πιστωτική κάρτα και να είναι τουλάχιστον 21 ετών, έχοντας και άδεια οδήγησης για τουλάχιστον ένα χρόνο στη Γερμανία. Όλα τα αυτοκίνητα του WeShare θα φορτίζονται στα δημόσια σημεία φόρτισης του Βερολίνου, συμπεριλαμβανομένων και των 70 καινούργιων σημείων στους χώρους στάθμευσης των Lidl και Kaufland.
Μετά από την εγκαινίαση του WeShare, τα οχήματα θα μαζεύονται από τους υπαλλήλους και θα φορτίζονται όταν χρειάζεται. Αργότερα, η εταιρεία θα παρέχει κίνητρα για τους πελάτες που θα φορτίζουν οι ίδιοι τα αυτοκίνητα. Θα πρέπει να αναφέρουμε ότι η χρήση του car sharing έχει μια συνεχώς ανοδική πορεία. Το 2010 υπήρχαν μόνο 180,000 οδηγοί ενώ σήμερα υπάρχουν περισσότεροι από 2.46 εκατομμύρια οδηγοί σε αυτή την υπηρεσία.

Volkswagen WeShare launched in Berlin as full-electric service
Volkswagen is entering the growing car sharing sector. WeShare is being launched in Berlin today. With 1,500 e-Golf vehicles, the Volkswagen brand is bringing onto the roads a 100 percent electric fleet and all the vehicles will be operated on green power. They are to be followed by 500 additional e-up! vehicles at the beginning of next year and the first units of Volkswagen’s new full-electric ID.3 when it is introduced in mid-2020. WeShare is a “free-floating” system without rental stations and is operated digitally via an app. An expansion of WeShare, initially to Prague, together with ŠKODA, and then to Hamburg, is planned for 2020.
“With WeShare, we have tailored car sharing to meet the needs of users: easy to use with 100 percent electric operation on green power,” said Christian Senger, Volkswagen Board Member for Digital Car & Services, today in Berlin. “With such a consistent, broad offering, we stand out from the competition. We are outstandingly well-positioned to participate in the expanding car sharing market.”
Initially, the service area of WeShare will cover about 150 km2 – in the city center and beyond the city train ring line. Later, the area will be extended in line with the expansion of the fleet. Upon the launch of the system, customers can benefit from an attractive tariff of 19 cents per minute. The registration and airport fees will also be waived. From September onwards, tariffs in three categories are to be offered at an average price per minute of 29 cents.
Customers will need to have a smart phone and credit card, to be at least 21 years old, to have held a driving license for at least one year and to be registered at an address in Germany.
WeShare will recharge its fleet on the public charging network in Berlin, including newly created charging points at 70 branches of food retailers Lidl and Kaufland. Volkswagen recently concluded a partnership agreement with these Schwarz Group companies to safeguard the operation of its electric fleet and to forge ahead with the expansion of charging infrastructure in public spaces within the framework of its e-mobility offensive.
Following the launch of the system, the WeShare vehicles will be collected and charged by WeShare service employees when the battery level is low. In later operation, users will receive incentives for recharging vehicles themselves.
With WeShare, Volkswagen is adding an attractive mobility service to its “Volkswagen We” ecosystem. The number of car sharing users in Germany has risen 14-fold since 2010. Only about 180,000 people were registered as car sharing users in 2010 and the number had grown to 2.46 million by the beginning of this year. Car sharing continues to grow.
“Volkswagen We” pools all the digital services available for people’s own cars and beyond. Services that have already been successfully launched include the Apps We Park, which makes parking even simpler and more convenient, We Experience for personalized recommendations concerning goods or services near to the vehicle or We Deliver, which makes the user’s boot a delivery point for parcel services. Other services which will be available via “Volkswagen We” will include “over the air“ software updates and functions on demand for vehicles.
