Date of birth:24 December 1980George Achilleos is Cyprus’ most decorated and beloved skeet shooter, he is a World, Commonwealth and Mediterranean Games record holder with 150/150 and was Cyprus’ Olympic flag bearer in 2004 and 2008. George has competed in 4 Olympic games, placing 5th in 2012 in Beijing and is a 7 time World Cup winner and a 4 time World Championship winner. His remarkable achievements propelled him to 1st place in the world rankings twice in his career in 2007-2008 as well as 2009-2010, a position he has held for a total of 29 months. In 2013 George won the bronze medal in the European Championships in Suhl and is currently gearing up for his 5th consecutive Olympics in Rio in 2016, where he is will be in contention for a medal.
