Bulletin 2 FIVE + FIVE CYPRUS 2016
We are getting closer to the great Five + Five days Orienteering in Cyprus!
More than 300 people will join the races, coming from 14 countries: Austria, Cyprus, Denmark,
Estonia, Finland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden and
United Kingdom.
We will run 10 amazing races in the sunny Island of Cyprus, having the chance to get closer to
the culture of this beautiful country, we will have social activities and wine/food tasting… The
countdown has started!
Larnaca with his long sandy beach and airport is excellent place for event center, while during
a stay, we will enjoy orienteering in Nicosia old town, Athallasa forest park, Palechori and
Lefkara village, Mathiatis forest and Cape Gkreco forest.
PWT cooperating closely with a local partner KOMOAAP, to organize these events and to help
developing orienteering sport in Cyprus.
First week
1st stage: Monday 3.October Mathiatis Forest, middle distance forest, First start 16.00h
2nd stage: Tuesday 4.Oct. Nicosia Old town, sprint, First start 10.30h
3rd stage: Tuesday 4.Oct. Athalassa Forest Park, middle distance, First start 15.30h
4th stage: Wednesday 5.Oct. Palechori Village, sprint race, First start 10.30h
5th stage: Thursday 6.Oct. Cape Gkreco Forest (Connos), middle distance, First start 10.30h
